After four years as EyeOn Creative Media, we felt like it was time to tweak our name. Okay, not so much a tweak as a bit of an overhaul. EyeOn has served us well in our first four years. But if we were honest, the company was named out of desperation in the elevator on the way to our lawyer’s office when we knew we were going to have to put something down on a legal document. We thought it was a cool name, and it opened up some opportunities for a cool logo design. It did have one major flaw however; and that it is that any time you introduced yourself, “Hello, I’m Paul Wynn with EyeOn Creative.” You would also have to spell it so that people wouldn’t spell it “I-O-N” Creative. And while not having to do that will be a bonus for the name change, it really has nothing to do with why we are changing our name.
Year Four was a major time of transition and it prompted us to do some soul searching about what we were as a company and where we were headed. We looked at how the company was formed and how God had His hand on the events that brought us together. Based on that time of introspection, we came to two conclusions. Number one, we want to be involved with ministries. We can make money doing video for any number of different clients, but we want to be involved with videos that have eternal significance. Second, we believe the most effective way to help ministries deliver their message is through storytelling. Even if the video is not necessarily a story-focused video, at its’ heart is the story. And we believe we are uniquely gifted in the area of storytelling.
Which bring us to oneMISSION.tv. We actually launched oneMISSION two years ago. We saw a void in a web presence where ministries could share videos that they may not be selling. www.oneMISSION.tv is that vehicle. But this year, we realized that oneMISSION.tv is also our calling. It was not just a cool name that we came up with in a pinch, but it was the name that summed up what we wanted to be about as a company.
So here it is, “oneMISSION.tv, helping ministries tell their story”. It took us a little while to figure out a name that expresses who we are and what we are about, but here we are. We think in the coming months you will see some other things on the website that fall in line with that new vision. In the meantime, visit oneMISSION.tv regularly for the latest free downloadable missions videos and check out our new discussion forum where we hope to invest ourselves in individuals and ministries by helping them tell their story. And if you have a specific need, we hope you will give us a call.
Same folks, just a little more focused.
